Meetings

This year, our NJHS club hosts meetings the second Wednesday of every month. During these meetings, we plan and carry out our larger projects such as Water for Life as well as smaller service projects to do in our school or local community, and we have fun in the process!

March 9th and 16th, 2016

NJHS held two meetings in March for the planning of one of our largest campaigns of the year: H20 For Life! The club separated into three groups (advertising, presenting, and collections) work together in order to get the job done and make this fundraiser possible!

February 10th, 2016

Our February meeting was focused around planning for an upcoming service hour opportunity. We planned our trip to Rim Rock Elementary, where we taught fourth graders about latitude and longitude. We also played festive Valentine's Day famous couples charades!

January 27th, 2016: Induction Ceremony Practice

During an irregular meeting on the last Wednesday of January, NJHS got together to practice for the induction ceremony, which took place on the following day. Congratulations to all of our new members!

January 13th, 2016

In our first meeting in the new year, we elected our new 8th grade representative, Taylor Kincaid! We also planned out our induction ceremony, which took place on January 28th, 2016.

December 9th, 2015

NJHS Club began this festive-themed meeting with a game of Christmas carol charades! Everyone got to know each other while acting out cherished carols. After the charades, we made snowmen pencils to give to our school's incredible teachers to thank them during this holiday season.

November 11th, 2015

This meeting was to show the newer club members  what NJHS is all about. We held a competition to see which group could scrub windows the cleanest and quickest! The winners won stick-on moustaches in honor of No Shave November, and afterwards, everyone relaxed and warmed up with some hot chocolate and cookies.

October 14th, 2015

For our second meeting of the year, we kicked off our first project: Kisses for Kindness. We explained and planned out the campain in order to effectively spread kindness in our school.

September 9th, 2015

To start off our first meeting of the year, former members were invited to get a feel for the club again. Executive council member positions were explained, and anyone who wanted to give it a shot prepared a brief campain before everyone voted to elect Michael Wilson as president, Lindsay Anderson as vice president, Carli Hatch as parliamentarian, Makayla Maves as secretary, Jake Christensen as treasurer, and Sara Shaver as historian.
